atari-ya
This morning (while I was still snug in bed) B popped out to do the weekend shop at Lidgate, the green grocers at Holland Park and Atari-Ya. As always, B brought back a ton of sashimi for our lunch. Atari-ya sells the best sashimi that we know of in London, the little store in Acton (there are also branches in Finchley, Golders Green and Kingston) is always swarming with Japanese folk living in the area. They not only sell sashimi but also fresh seafood, a small selection of vegetables, some cooked food and a variety of japanese food products. The prices are extremely reasonable – the sashimi selection above came to just over £10. Today’s chu-toro (tuna belly) and ika (squid) were especially good.
