RESTAURANTS – UK & BEYOND

Prior to starting the blog, B and I had eaten our way through a fair number of restaurants across the world, but unfortunately (and stupidly perhaps) failed to document any of our culinary adventures in text or pictures. Hence we will never be able to return to the local Valencian joint where we first experienced the joys of Fideua (a paella-like dish where vermicelli noodles are used in place of rice), or recommend to others the amazing enoteca in Alba serving heavenly foil-baked porcinis, or re-visit the intriguing fusion of Japanese and Chinese cuisine at a tiny family-run kaiseki restaurant we chanced upon on a narrow lane in Kyoto.

Of the ones we do recall, and enjoyed (The Fat Duck, French Laundry, Mathias Dahlgren, Quince and Coi – to name a few), there are many that we will no doubt return to some point but for now here are some of the non-London establishments we’ve visited (and I’ve bothered to write about!) since July 2009:
