SUSHI IN LONDON SERIES
An ongoing series uncovering London’s sushi options; with each post highlighting five different Japanese eateries across town. I chose to compare and contrast the Chirashi-zushi (essentially cuts of sashimi laid over a bed of sushi rice) at each location as I feel it best showcases the quality and array of fish available at each restaurant, as well as the fish-cutting and sushi rice skills of the itamae (chef).
PART 1: Dinings, Defune, Ikeda, Chisou and Sushi of Shiori
PART 2: Sakana-tei, Sushi Hiro, Atari-ya, Sake no Hana and Mitsukoshi
PART 3: Kiraku, Suzu, Edokko, Tsukiji Sushi, Atari-ya James St
GT’S FAVOURITE: Sushi Tetsu
HONOURABLE MENTION: Yashin Sushi
Have you been to Kiku? My fave in London.
The one on Half Moon St right? I’ve been a couple of times for dinner and remember liking it – I must go try their chirashi for post #4!
